Location: It is a park behind a Weston council estate and across weston shore.
Info: This shot is quite ambiguous when thinking of a wider meaning but depicts an individual with a lack of self identity and the location fits her mood perfectly..it’s not just simple. I modified the ISO settings on my camera to add a grainy effect so it appeared more like an editorial story telling photo.

” I found the photo beautifully composed and taken from an angle that seems to amplify the seeming simplicity of the immediate world inhabited by the two girls. The girls’ swinging gait and the expanse of blue sky around them suggest a great sense of freedom, confidence
and motion. They appear to be students or recent Asian immigrants to Canada living in a modest neighbourhood. Yet despite the social or
economic challenges this may imply, they exude a can-do attitude in boldly stepping out to seek their dreams and place. There’s also a sense that the world is moving with them, or even revolving around them. The world is at their feet, and is theirs to take.”

Information:on another photo The chairs in the background tell the “importance” of academics and how materials things like clothing are pre-eminent with wealthy and upper class students. In contrast, this image gives a zen touch as if It ,like me, tries to bring enlightenment to these people.

Bravo to all participants of ITFPC. We are happy to announce the winners. We received entries from 45 cities around the world. There were a lot of quality photographs that came in. After several pre-selections we reached a list of 60 entries that were submitted to the 15 jurors for their final judgment. (click here to see the final 60) It was not an easy choice. , in fact as one of the jurors said: “It is very difficult to select just 4 pictures for me. I guess it was hard to select 60 Photos for you.

Unfortunately the replies of 2 jurors did not reach us by the competition’s deadline.

This project was meant to begin an ongoing discussion amongst the young people in the world about their lifestyle and about mutual understanding so there can be peace in the world. Learning to accept differences and similarities.
